The Giant Squid - The creature of the abyss
In the assassin's tomb in Santa Maria Delle Visitazione, before
the room where you get one of the seals required for the Armour of
Altair, is a large room filled with water. This room has an obstacle
course. Activate the lever before going through the course, then stand
on the edge of the floor, and look at the water. Remain idle until a
large shape swims across the water. Use the lever again after the timer
resets, and stand at same location. After awhile, a giant tentacle will
shoot out of the water that Ezio dodges at the last second.

The Hidden Gun - Work smarter, not harder
This idea is put to use the best in the mission where you crash
the mask party. When your target walks out onto the boat, instead of
trying to be sneaky and kill him with your hidden blade, just take out
your hidden gun and shoot him. He'll die in one hit and you're free to
run for the water afterwards.

Quick hiding - A watery refuge.
If you're being pursued and would rather hide than fight, just
find the closest water and take a dive. The guards can't follow so just
keep swimming until you're out of their range and dive underwater until
the caution (yellow) goes away.

Some more about Brutes
1- If you can't do countreattack
If you can't do countreattack to brute,still use unarmed fight style,
because brutes cant block your punches exept by their countreattacks and
if you upgrade your gloves you'll finish them too easilly than by
knife.

2- Throwing Knifes
Maybe Brutes may seem strong enemies but you can kil them by just 2 (!) throwing knifes. It may be usefull.

3- Little Hint
It works to all enemies, not just brute. Mostly I used it in
Venice. If you throw guard to the water (or if he do it himself) he
immediately die. It is easier way to kill Dante.

The Lazy Kleptomaniac - Steal 1000 Florins the easy way
One of the easiest ways to get the Trophy/Achievement is to get your
notoriety up a notch and bribe a Herald. This guy now has 500 Florins
in his pocket which you can then steal back. Repeat once more and and
you never have to steal again unless you want to.

Catching Messengers and Pickpockets - Catch Messengers and Pickpockets Easy
nstead of chasing down messengers and pickpockets, one well thrown knife
will get you the reward, without killing them to make you notorious.

Advanced Combat Tips - Fighting a big group - the easy way
You can only do this once you have acces to the smokebombs. When you use
a smokebomb in a large group, you can easily kill many guards without
them resisting, using the hidden blade as your weapon.

Combat Tip

Fighting Brutes
Brutes are the big armored soldiers armed with two handed weapons like axes/claymores.
Trying to reverse their moves will result in you getting hurt yourself
if you have a weapon drawn. But unarmed on the other hand you can take
their weapons away from them and kill them easily.

Fighting Seekers
Seekers are the soldiers with the spears. Their weakness is
grapples; grab them, and kill them to dispatch them quickly.

Fighting Big Groups
I found that when fighting a large group it is best to keep
moving around so they don't surround you and attack from both sides at
once.
keep your guard up and wait for one of them to
attack and counter it. If there are Brutes or Seekers in the group it
gets a bit harder.
Try to avoid them at first, if this is not possible you could try to take them out with the moves mentioned above.

Archers
Usually they pose little threat but in some areas there are a lot of them scattered around.
If you find yourself in a fight and at the same
time there are archers shooting at you try to break off the fight and
run to the archers, making them drop their bow and come after you with a
sword.
Or you can try to position the soldiers in the archers line of fire and make him do your dirty work.
