There've
been a lot of changes from Namco's Tekken 2 to Tekken 3 - some have to
do with the characters, while some have to do with the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] itself. Below is a list of the more important strategy changes.

CHARACTERS

characters from Tekken 2 (whether a direct offspring, a coma patient,
etc.) are: Paul, Law, Nina, King, Lei, Yoshimitsu, Kuma, Jack, and
Heihachi. These characters all have additions and a few changes in
gameplay. Read about them in their half-page strategies. The new
characters (Jin, Xiaoyu, Hwoarang, Bryan, Eddy, and Julia) are all
excellent additions to the roster and include some of the now most
powerful guys/gals in the game. Some of these may look familiar, but
they are actually different from their predecessors. Also new to the
home version of Tekken 3 are the characters Gon (a small dinosaur from a
Japanese anime) and Doctor Boskonovich (the same doctor who has helped
Yoshimitsu, Jack, and others in past games). Anna is also her own
character in Tekken 3, instead of a palette swap for Nina. Not to
mention the monster who is Ogre.

POWERING UP

(two kicks for Doctor B.) you will appear to be going into an
unblockable. Your hands will glow for three seconds, and you will cause
blocking damage. Every hit takes off the same amount of damage no
matter what the move. This action is not [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] useful, but if your opponent is near dying and is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] too stupid to fall, this will help the process.
QUICK GET UP
This is the most important addition to Tekken. I
repeat, this is the most important addition to Tekken. Yes, keeping
opponents on the ground is the easiest and best way to win in Tekken,
but there's nothing more annoying. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] LP and RP at the same time at the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] moment you hit the ground to immediately get up.

NEW MODES
There is a number of new [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in Tekken 3, such as force mode, beach ball mode, and theater mode. They're described in detail later in this guide.
